Abstract
Preparatory Committee for the Upholding of Islamic Law (KPPSI) was established on 28 May 2000. Laskar Jundullah is an autonomous body under the KPPSI, but there is no effective coordination between Laskar Jundullah and KPPSI. In recruitment, membership of the KPPSI takes place openly, whereas Laskar Jundullah is more closed. This research explains the relationship between the two organizations, intended as a reference model to understand radical religious movements in the region. The data collected through interview, literature reviews, papers and related news. This study shows that an Islamic organization is not free from intact with radical Muslim groups. In fact, loose structure its even makes the organization more vulnerable to being used by the radical groups.

Summary
Laskar Jundullah adalah organisasi tertutup yang muncul sejak tahun 2000. Terlibat cukup mencolok dalam konflik Poso dan Ambon. Laskar Jundullah kemudian semakin dikenal ketika sebagian anggotanya terbukti terlibat dalam aksi bom Makassar, Desember 2002.20. Laskar Jundullah disahkan pada Kongres Umat Islam Sulawesi Selatan di Asrama Haji Sudiang, Makassar, Oktober 2000. Laskar Jundullah dipimpin oleh Agus Dwikarna, organisasi ini didirikan di Makassar dalam September 2000. Laskar Jundullah adalah milisi regional di Sulawesi Selatan, yang diklaim memiliki hubungan historis dengan gerakan Darul Islam. 24 “Wawancara dengan Sekjen KPPSI, Aswar Hasan” (Makassar, 18 September 2003) dalam Tim Peneliti Staf Ahli Bidang Sosial Budaya BIN, Laskar Jundullah Sulawesi Selatan; Perspektif Keamanan dan Sosial Budaya. Amanat tersebut dituangkan dalam program membentuk Laskar Penegak Syariat Islam, yang kemudian lebih dikenal dengan nama Laskar Jundullah. Menariknya memang, dalam Kongres Umat Islam I laskar ini disebut sebagai Laskar Penegak Syariat Islam, yang kemudian lebih dikenal dengan nama Laskar Jundullah.
