Abstract

Mental health advocates and state leaders are applauding recently signed legislation that will enforce parity, support the workforce and provide equitable reimbursement and loan cancellation for behavioral health providers. For the first time, the state of Georgia will enforce parity in insurance coverage for behavioral health, courtesy of a unanimous vote during the 2022 state legislative session to pass the Mental Health Parity Act, effective July 1.
