Abstract
As its name implies, Geophysics in Engineering Investigations provides a general overview of geophysical tools available to practicing engineering geologists, environmental geologists, and geotechnical engineers during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. It consists of 11 chapters plus a reference list and appendices written by a committee of nine under contract to a British construction industry consortium known as CIRIA, with collaboration from the Engineering Group of the Geological Society, the British Geological Survey, and the British Department of Trade and Industry. The 252-page book was published by the Geological Society in 2002, has a soft cover, and is printed in black and white with the exception of two pages of color plates near the end.
