Abstract
A Geophysical Atlas for Interpretation of Satellite‐Derived Data, edited by P.D. Lowman, Jr., and H.V. Frey (NASA Technical Memorandum 79722), has recently been made available in a preliminary version, published in reduced size. A version in folio size will be available shortly.The atlas contains the first compilation of satellite‐derived plots of gravity and plots of magnetic anomalies measured by Pogo (Polar Orbiting Geophysical Observatory). There are, in addition, global seismicity maps, a recent volcano activity map, tectonic boundary maps, global tectonic and volcanic activity maps, and a set of seismic P wave velocity anomaly maps that can be used for interpretation of the gravity maps.
