Abstract

Geomythology is an important element of the region's immaterial culture and the cultural identity of its inhabitants. Thanks to geomythology, tourists' interest in geotourist sites is increasing and their perception of these sites is changing. Geotourism is one of the forms of specialized tourism with a relatively narrow audience. To attract visitors from other groups, e.g., schoolchildren, families with children, tourists interested in the cultural heritage of a region, information on geological (or more broadly, geographic) resources can be expanded to include cultural information. One way to attract tourists and get a wider audience interested in geology is to provide geological information along with legends about the places visited. At the same time, geomythology increases the cultural identity of the region's residents.
