Abstract

The Radial Basis Function-Pseudo Spectral method (RBF-PS) is used to study the geometrical nonlinear behavior of composite plates. A first order shear deformation theory is used along with Von Kármán nonlinear strain. The final set of equations are solved using the Newton method. Results provided by RBF-PS are in agreement with results from other numerical methods.
