Abstract
AbstractConsolidation is the process of soil compaction under load as water is squeezed out of a porous medium [1]. A physically and geometrically nonlinear formulation of the consolidation problem is developed. The developed nonlinear consolidation model is applied to simulate hyperelastic deformation of a biological material saturated with blood or plasma and elastoplastic deformation of porous water‐saturated soil.
