Abstract

The localization length and density of states of carbon nanotubes areevaluated within the tight-binding approximation. By comparison with thecorresponding results for the square lattice tubes, it is found that thehexagonal structure affects strongly the behaviour of the density ofstates and localization lengths of carbon nanotubes.
