Abstract

Observables in relativistic nuclear collisions are often calculated by means of four-dimensional integrals. Use of such integrals in calculating cross sections is illustrated. Sharp-surface nucleons are assumed first, but then a diffuse distribution is employed in which a circle is smoothly joined to an exponential. Such analytical geometrical weight functions can be used in generalized firestreak model. 3 figures. (RWR)
