Abstract
The main geometric parameters of cylindrical Novikov gearing with longitudinally-circular (arched) teeth shape are considered. The equations of the lateral surfaces of the teeth and the lines of action are obtained. Some elements of the gearing quality are considered. Differences of characteristics for convex and concave sides of teeth are shown. The results obtained made it possible to develop a package of computational programs for evaluating the strength characteristics of this gearing.
