Abstract

Architecture is the most important tool for transforming the environment. According to S. McQuire, today, the advent of media technologies creates a new “modality”, which turns architecture into a dynamic media product. The article considers the Arctic as a potential space for the application of media architecture and media technologies, emphasizing the possibility of using these tools to solve the unique environmental and socio-economic problems of the region.
