Abstract

In the Karaganda coal basin, the mining of coal seams is carried out by a column mining system. Roof management is carried out, as a rule, by its complete collapse. As a result, the natural stress state of the rock mass changes. A shear trough is formed on the surface, and surface objects located within the mining influence zone can be seriously damaged or even destroyed. The issues of protection of engineering communications, buildings and structures of industrial and civil infrastructure on the surface are reflected in regulatory documents. A more difficult issue is the assessment of the impact of mining operations on underground geomechanical structures, in particular on mine workings, which may also deteriorate as a result of mining operations. In this regard, a predictive assessment of the possible impact of mining operations on mine workings is a necessary condition for planning mining operations. The results of such studies should be taken into account when deciding on the possibility of working out the designed excavation fields. As an example, the article considers the possible consequences of mining longwall 25-K10-Z from the point of view of its impact on capital mine workings in the conditions of the Kirovskaya mine of STS-1 LLP
