Abstract
We live in an unequal world and inequalities both among nations and individuals are a root cause of many contemporary problems. Some areas provide their inhabitants with a better `quality of life` than others. This book is about differences between the areas. Existing inequalities between areas are described at three levels: the international, the intra-national, and the intra-urban. Students and general readers interested in assessing the inequalities present in modern society.
