Abstract
In Norway three country-wide cycles in small-rodent years occurred during the period 1961-1971. In one cycle the peak occurred one year later in northeast in Norway (County of Finnmark). In the two other cycles the exceptions from a general synchronism of the cycle pulses seemed to occur at random throughout the country. The three cycles were not all apparent in all parts of Norway, one 10 year cycle being observed for lemmings in Finnmark.
