Abstract

Geographical divergence in Bothriocephalus (Cestoda) of fishes demonstrated by enzyme electrophoresis. International Journal for Parasitology 16: 553–558. The study of the geographical differentiation of two Bothriocephalus species, B. gregarius a parasite of Psetta maxima and B. barbatus a parasite of Scophthalmus rhombus, has revealed that, whereas Atlantic and Mediterranean populations of B. barbatus are genetically similar, those of B. gregarius present important genetic differences.
