Abstract
Detailed self-potential (SP) and resistivity measurements were carried out in parts of the gneissic and khondalite belt of the Balangir district, Orissa, India to locate graphite deposits. Five anomalous zones were located in the area out of which graphite has already been struck in three areas in Bender, Behermunda and Berni. Results of two more anomalies are yet to be tested. Mise-à-la-masse measurements were also carried out in the areas where graphite was located in the test results.
