Abstract

The Earthquake Research Institute has been testing patroling geodimeter surveys in Honshu, Japan, since 1963 to establish effective monitoring system of crustal related to seismic activities. Among fifteen sites of base‐line network for this purpose, those in the Matsushiro a underwent the most dramatic during the period of swarm activity there.The mode of the deformation's is reviewed referring to other sorts geodetic and seismological materials. Observational data at the remaining sites will also presented together with short remarks future problems.
