Abstract

With regard to economic activities all geocryological processes are divided into: (a) technogenic processes inside the construction contour, (b) technogenic processes in the zone of construction influence, (c) natural or background processes (outside the impact of structures). Some little known and poorly investigated geocryological processes, as well as natural geocryological processes under conditions of probable climate warming are considered. A forecast of the distribution of permafrost and some geocryological processes in Russia by the year 2030 is made. A probable region of non-fusing permafrost is differentiated. Corrected principles are proposed for the monitoring of geocryological processes under conditions of changing climate, including scientific-technological recommendations and legislative measures.
