Abstract
AbstractGeocoris bullatus (Say) adults were observed on two separate occasions dragging adult flea beetles over the soil surface, with one of the flea beetles being identified as Phyllotreta striolata (F). No predation was seen on other occasions when this predator and flea beetles were present together in the field, nor in laboratory confinement experiments. Under the latter circumstances G. bullatus readily attacked aphids, however. It seems likely that G. bullatus is only an incidental predator on adult flea beetles in western Canada.
