Abstract
THE ORIGIN, distribution and health effects of radon are considered in this paper. Active and passive mechanisms exist in Cornwall which determine where radon will be found. Because of the health effects of radon there should be a continuation of geochemical research in the county to identify the distribution of radon and other radio-elements in the environment.
