Abstract
AbstractUnderstanding the geochemical process of groundwater is a vital part for evaluating the performance assessment of the geological system. The principle of the study is for examining the evolution mechanism of a hydochemical ground and for promoting its reimbursement for local community and to the regional economy of the Tirupur region. Based on understanding of the hydrogeological environment, the chemical distinctiveness of the subsurface water in the study area was examined. Nine water types are formed based on Piper diagram. Modeling reactive geochemical process in the groundwater is a vital tool for interpreting and understanding geochemical processes in aquifer. WATEQ4F software was utilized to execute the geochemical modeling of water-aquifer interaction processes and the mechanisms for the confined groundwater. Geochemical model was undertaken for determining the saturation indices of minerals. The examination concludes that calcite, dolomite, goethite and aragonite are saturated in most of the water samples of the area.KeywordGeochemical modelingPiper diagramSaturation indexChemical equilibrium
