Abstract
フィリピン国ルソン島北西部に分布するザンバレスオフィオライトと近接するベントナイト-沸石鉱山Saile鉱山は，オフィオライト中の低温型蛇紋岩作用などにより生成しセメント浸出水とのアナログ性を持つアルカリ地下水が断層活動に伴い上昇してベントナイトと接触していた直接的証拠が見られ，ベントナイト-セメント相互作用のナチュラルアナログサイトとして絶好の環境条件を備えている．この調査地域のアルカリ地下水との相互作用が見られたベントナイトの地球化学的・鉱物化学的特性として，より強い相互作用があった枕状溶岩に近いベントナイトのCr，Ni，軽希土類元素濃度が高いこと，ベントナイトの枕状溶岩との接触界面でCaゼオライト，カリ長石，鉄濃集帯の形成など5 mm程度のアルカリ変質が見られるが，変質鉱物の閉塞作用により，露頭スケールではほとんどベントナイトの変質が進んでいないことが明らかになった．
