Abstract
Objective To clarify the molecular epidemiological characteristics of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection in the Luohu district of Shenzhen. Methods A total of 22 496 women, who received HPV detection in the department of gynecology, physical examination, and community health service center of Luohu People’s hospital from January 2017 to December 2017, were recruited as the subjects of this study. The subjects were grouped according age(less than 25 years old, 26~35 years old, 36~45 years old, 46~55 years old and more than 56 years old.) and sample source(gynecological group, physical examination group and social health group). Fluorescence PCR was used to detect the infection rates of 15 high-risk HPV subtypes (HPV 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68). Results The total HPV infection rate was 15.30%(3443/22496). HPV infection rate was 16.58% (2614/15767)for the women from the department of gynecology. For the women from the department of physical examination and community health service center, the infection rate was 10.9% (400/3671)and 14.03%(429/3058) respectively. The age distribution of the infection rate of high-risk HPV showed the shape of U -like.The highest HPV infection rate was found in women younger than 25 years old, followed by women over 56 years old.The top five HPV sub-genotypes with highest infection rate were HPV52, 58, 16, 39, and 51, respectively.Infection with a single type of HPV was of predominant.Infection with two types of HPV was the primary among the infection with multiple HPV subtypes. Conclusion The distribution of HPV infection in Luohu district of Shenzhen shows regional characteristic, while the distribution of HPV genotypes is significant difference among women at different age groups, especially among women with high risk of HPV infection.
