Abstract

The statistics for consultations related to genito-urinary complaints in a University female population living away from home are presented. Over a period of 13 years these have increased significantly in parallel with an increase in requests for contraceptive advice and in pregnancy rate. The latter now appears to be decreasing. It is thought probable that these statistical trends reflect increased sexual activity in the population at risk.
