Abstract

This article provides brief information from the medieval books of Rashid al-Din Fazullah Hamadani “Jami' al-Tawarikh” (1318), Sharaf al-Din Ali Yazdi “Zafar nama” (1425), which can give the reader a general idea of the history of Turkic tribes, including Kazakh clans. In addition, the article provides a brief analysis of the role of key historic persons – Shyngys khan and Amir Temir. The article will be interesting for students and specialists in history and Orientalism.
