Abstract
Bronchiolitis is a common cause of hospitalisation in infancy and increases the risk for later asthma and lung function abnormalities. Toll-like receptors (TLR) are key proteins of innate immunity that recognise microbes and moderate immune reactions, and there is evidence of association between TLR gene polymorphisms and lung diseases (1).
