Abstract

Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) is associated with premature atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease caused by elevated LDL-C. Although early diagnosis and treatment of FH can normalize life expectancy, less than 15% of cases are diagnosed. The role of genetic testing, compared with clinical definitions remains contentious.
