Abstract

Nine boro rice genotypes were crossed in diallel mating design to study the inheritance of yield, yield related traits and amylose content over three seasons. Data from 36 F 1 and parents were analysed using Hayman’s (1954) graphical approach. Majority of the traits studied revealed importance of over-dominance type of intra allelic interaction over the three seasons. The parents were scattered along the regression line indicating sufficient diversity among them for the traits.
