Abstract
The authors report the experimental observation of cascade-generated sixth and tenth harmonics of Nd3+:glass laser radiation. The fifth-order non-linear susceptibility in a mixture of Na and Ar is measured and found to be chi eff(5) approximately=6*10-47 esu. Nonlinear mixing processes are used to yield 151.4, 132.5 and 117.7 nm radiation in phase-matched Cd vapour.
