Abstract

An experimental investigation was made of the conversion of the radiation of a distributed-feedback dye laser to the ultraviolet and blue-green parts of the spectrum by the methods of frequency doubling and mixing, resulting in generation of picosecond pulses. The shortest wavelength emitted so far from distributed-feedback dye lasers was 272 nm.
