Abstract
We generate Mn–ferrite nanoparticles (NPs) by Nd:YAG (1064 nm) laser irradiation in distilled water. We characterize such NPs in terms of the size distribution, shape and chemical composition using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy-dispersive X rays (EDS), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Using a magnetic force microscope (MFM), we show the magnetic properties of the generated nanoparticles.
