Abstract

Corrin complexes of cobalt reduce molecular oxygen to H2O2 in the presence of a reducing agent (ascorbic acid or ubiquinol Q9H2). The complex of divalent cobalt [CoII(cor)]OMe +ClO4 − breaks down H2O2 according to a radical mechanism, with the formation of OH radicals.
