Abstract

<para xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"> A new method to generate a diffraction-compensated beam at the output of a single-mode pigtailed laser diode is presented. It consists of positioning an opaque disk and a collimating lens at the output of the fiber. We could generate some beams of 900 <emphasis><formula formulatype="inline"><tex>$\mu$</tex> </formula></emphasis>m of diameter which conserves its dimension over more than 4 m. </para>
