Abstract
Abstract Density perturbations arising out of the quantum fluctuations in a Brans-Dicke field in the context of extended inflation have been studied. We have used a model in which the Brans-Dicke parameter varies with time. We find that the density perturbations are large in magnitude and have a scale invariant spectrum. The origin of these is discussed and it is shown that these place further constraints on the model.
