Abstract
In this paper we have interested to use the Filter Bank Multi Carrier (FBMC) modulation with Radio over Fiber (RoF) technology to support the new generation of mobile communications 5G. FBMC is a potential concept for 5G. It is based on the division of the frequency spectrum into many narrow sub-carriers., which are filtered using a filter bank. In this work., we have considered the generation and the transmission of FBMC signal at millimeter Wave (mmWave) for RoF system. We have evaluated., by simulation., the performance of this system in term of Bit Error Rate (BER) and Error Vector Magnitude (EVM). The simulations show that the optical link., based on Single Side Band (SSB) and Optical Carrier Suppression (OCS) modulations, can achieve high performances, and consequently, increase the length of optical fiber.
