Abstract
The well function for a large-diameter well in a fissured aquifer is presented in the form of the Laplace transform of the drawdown in the fissures. This solution contains, as special cases, many previously studied well functions for fully penetrating wells in confined aquifers. Efficient techniques for the numerical evaluation of the well function are introduced, thus providing a general method for generating type curves.
