Abstract

The present paper is aimed at studying the wave propagation for a problem of cylindrical cavity. The material is assumed to be fiber-reinforced with increased stiffness, strength and load bearing capacity. Using generalized thermoelasticity theory, Green and Nagdhi, with and without energy dissipation. Laplace transform techniques are used to derive the solution in the Laplace transform domain. The inversion process is carried out using a numerical method based on Fourier series expansions. The results obtained are displayed by graphs to clear the phenomena physical meaning and compeer with generalized thermoelasticity theories.
