Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study the main thermodynamic functions for two-dimensional gravity and three-dimensional one. The cases treated here refer to extended mass located at the origin of the measurement system interacting with a point mass. As it is well known, appealing to conventional tools the thermodynamic gravitation quantifiers turn out to be not finite. This difficulty can be circumvented by using the regularization technique for power integrals of x introduced by Guelfand. Note that the employed regularization of divergent integrals is intended to be consistent with the physics of the problem.
