Abstract

Software usage in various industries and homes forms part of our daily lives. Thus, performing quality control checks on developed software by software engineers is essential to both the developer and the users. The general idea of software reliability as a quality control check is very important to both the producer and the consumer. This paper offers a Generalized Power Weibull software reliability growth model that takes environmental factors into account. The applications of the proposed software reliability growth model reveals that it performs better than some of the existing competing models. Finally, a sequential probability ratio test for the proposed model was developed for monitoring of reliability data.
