Abstract

For the distribution network containing distributed PV systems based on the virtual synchronous generator control (VSG) strategy and power control (PQ) strategy, the generalized composite load aggregation method is studied in this paper. The improved k-means algorithm for the load aggregation is used in this paper whose initial cluster centers are determined based on the k-means++ algorithm and the cluster number is determined based on the Gap Statistic (GS) evaluation method. The distributed photovoltaic power generation systems are clustered and then in-cluster systems are aggregated by the improved k-means algorithm. The distribution network model and generalized composite load aggregation model with different control types of distributed photovoltaic power generation systems and composite load are built in PSCAD. In the end, the validity and effectiveness of the proposed generalized composite load aggregation method are verified.
