Abstract

We find new exact solutions to the Einstein–Maxwell system of equations with the Karmarkar condition for charged stars. The Karmarkar condition allows us to choose one of the metric potential which is then used to derive the second potential by integration. We also choose a generalized equation for electric field. The interaction between potentials and charge results into a realistic anisotropic charged star model. Using this model, we asses the most important features like equilibrium, stability, causality, regularity and energy conditions of stellar objects. We find new stellar objects with masses and radii in acceptable ranges for astrophysical objects. We have also generated masses and radii consistent with stellar objects like PSRJ1614-2230, CenX-3, PSRJ1903+327 and 4U 1538-52.
