Abstract

In this paper, a 1-bit SAR quantization model based on single-frequency threshold is generalized for different applications due to its strong representation ability. The 1-bit quantization is able to simplify the SAR system by reducing the quantization level of each sample to only 1 bit. As the single-frequency threshold can be determined by amplitude, frequency and phase, different 1 bit quantization models, such as zeros-threshold, fixed threshold, and even multi-bit quantization, can be represented by varying these three parameters and their time-variant characteristics. Based on the generalized 1-bit quantization model, the SAR imaging and the deceptive jamming against SAR can be significantly simplified with guaranteed quality.
