Abstract

Initial methods are one of the simplest and most credible ones for evaluating trap parameters in TSC (thermally stimulated conductivity) and TL (thermoluminescence) experimental techniques. In those methods, it is assumed, that during linear heating, for a small part of TSC or TL peak, the intensity J is proportional to exp(-E/kT), where E is the activation energy of a trap. In this work we derive new generalized equations for TSC and TL in the form of initial rise equation with a new correction term added. These equations were tested numerically for different trap parameters. In most cases the fit error was less than 0.1% in the whole range of the spectrum.
