The empirical parameters of a modified Soave expression for α( T R) have been correlated in terms of readily available pure component parameters. Both parameters have been expressed in terms of the group (ω Z C) as correlating parameter. The correlations are recommended for the calculation of pure fluid properties and vapor-liquid equilibrium in mixtures containing polar and non-polar fluids.
