Abstract

Considering the practical application of neural networks, the generalization ability is a very important evaluation factor. Previous research has indicated that Universal Learning Network (ULN) can model the dynamic systems using the networks of different sizes corresponding to the weight coefficient of the switching mechanism. In the previous research, the switching mechanism and ULN that may have arbitrary time delays were the most remarkable features of modeling the dynamic systems. In this paper, the generalization ability of the proposed method for modeling the dynamic systems is studied.
