Abstract

A novel representation of systems of incompletely specified quaternary functions, called ‘hybrid arithmetic transform’, is shown. The new transform utilises integrated standard and GF(4) algebra as the core of the generalised expansions. The transform matrix of the expansion is defined by an arbitrary set of orthogonal one-variable functions in GF(4). The introduced expansion is generalised by applying to it the concept of polarity.
