Abstract

A new approach has been developed for the electronic states of quantum dots (QD) with a small non-sphericity, when the external form of the QD, potentials inside and outside the QD are not concretized. It has been proved that in general case in the first order of perturbation theory the correction to the energy of the ground state is equal to zero. It has been demonstrated that the split of degenerated states does not change the center of multiplet. In the frameworks of theory, the electronic states of the ellipsoidal QD with finite confinement potential have been observed, when all the three semi-axes of the ellipsoid slightly differ from each other.
