Abstract

Ideal 3D SRME (surface-related multiple elimination) has geometric requirements for its input data that are not met by marine streamer surveys. Ian Moore and Bill Dragoset offer a solution supported by field data examples which uses a modified algorithm based on a multidimensional nearest-neighbour search to find recorded traces that are closest, in a Euclidian sense, to the desired traces demanded by ideal 3D SRME.
