Abstract
The exact solution for the inhomogeneous system of equilibrium equations for open circular cylindrical shells reinforced with a quasi-regular system of discrete ribs is obtained. The dependence of stress–strain state of semi-infinite shells on the distance from the loaded edge is analyzed.
