Abstract

ABSTRACT In this paper, general solution for electric and magnetic fields in Cylindrical coordinates system is developed for the first time using the vector potentials and when the wave is propagating in fractional dimensional space. This enables us to analyze different field configurations inside cylindrical waveguide filled with fractional space. Here, TE and TM modes are analyzed. It is observed that the wave propagation behavior in fractional space changes substantially from that in the integer dimensional space inside cylindrical waveguide. Moreover, the general solution obtained in this paper can also be used to analyze different field configurations inside cylindrical waveguide filled with integer dimensional space.
